Room 13 (The Writer's Cut)

Richard Hartley has been using The George Hotel for years to meet, his lover Adele for romantic weeks away whilst wife Rachel stays at home waiting for his return. When Rachel invites herself to join Richard on his latest “business trip” which falls over their fifth wedding anniversary, all are in The George Hotel together.  With the wife and the lover in the same hotel at the same time, blood will be shed but who’s and by whom?

 It's spring time 5 years before "Room 13" and Rachel is planning her marriage to Richard Hartley with the perfect winter wedding taking place at the George Hotel. As the seasons pass and the wedding plans come together, the curse of Room 13 is just beginning and trouble lies ahead for the Hartleys. An unanswered question lies over The George Hotel: what are the troubles behind the door of Room 13?

 2 Shows, 1 Story:   Room 13 was performed in Alsager in 2024.  This version is the Writer's Cut: new characters, new scenes and a little bit of a difference at the end.   


The Hartley Wedding will debut at Reaseheath Hall in April 2025.

Find out why Richard does what he does, understand what haunts Room 13. If you've seen Room 13 before then you will love this new twist on the story.  If you've not seen either then sit back and enjoy Richard's story as it unfolds.  We are confident that you will enjoy each play as a stand-alone story but encourage you to watch both.

Tickets are £20 for 2 shows if you buy the tickets at the same time or £13.50 per show.  The 2-show discount is applied automatically when you purchase the tickets.

Age Rating

While we have not put an age restriction on these performances, (we leave that up to you, parents and guardians), the plays contain some violence* and strong language and are written for an adult audience.  

*Violence = depictions of physical harm, assault, domestic violence and murder
